Live Music for Your Wedding Meal

The wedding meal is when the day properly slows down. Grand entrance made, speeches done, everyone's seated, glasses are being filled — guests are relaxed, catching up, and starting to enjoy the moment properly.

Live music adds to that — it fills the room and keeps the atmosphere going without anyone having to think about it.

Grand entrance song, two live sets, paced around your meal.

What to Expect

Your Wedding Meal, Soundtrack Included

The Moment

It starts with your grand entrance — I perform your chosen song live as you walk in for the first time as a married couple. It's one of those moments that lands differently when it's live.

From there, once the speeches are done, two live sets paced around your meal. The music is balanced to lift the atmosphere without overpowering conversation — present enough to set the mood, understated enough that your guests can enjoy the moment. Everything is built around your day — I'll work around your timings and coordinate with your venue on the day.

Top Tips

I'll share my full repertoire ahead of the day — just pick your top must-hears and tell me anything that's definitely not for you, and I'll handle the rest.

Your grand entrance song is worth thinking about early. It doesn't have to be obvious or traditional — some of the best choices are the ones nobody sees coming.

Common Questions & Planning

Wedding Meal Questions, Answered

What does the wedding meal music package include?

It includes your grand entrance song as you arrive into the room, followed by two 45-minute live sets paced around your meal. The music is balanced to lift the atmosphere without overpowering conversation — present enough to set the mood, understated enough that your guests can enjoy the moment.

Can I choose my grand entrance song?

Absolutely — it's one of the best moments to personalise your day. It can be anything from a classic you both love to something completely unexpected. If a backing track isn't available for your choice, I can arrange for one to be recorded for a small additional fee. Just let me know early.

What kind of songs work best during a wedding meal?

The wedding meal suits music that creates atmosphere rather than demanding attention. Think acoustic pop, jazz-influenced classics, feel-good soul and mellow contemporary tracks. I tailor every set to you — if you want something more upbeat, more laid-back, or a particular era, just say so.

What is the difference between wedding meal music and drinks reception music?

Drinks receptions are livelier — guests are up and mingling, so the music can be more upbeat and present. The wedding meal is usually more settled, with guests seated and conversation flowing across tables, so the music sits a little softer in the room. Both can work brilliantly; it comes down to the feel you want at each part of the day.

Can I combine the wedding meal with other packages?

Yes. The Daytime Package swaps the drinks reception for the wedding meal for a small supplement (+£55), and The Full Shebang covers ceremony, drinks reception and first dances. If you want to mix and match, just get in touch and we can put something together that fits your day.
